Hildegaard Olibanum, an ode to the mystical master of reverence and restoration. In temples ancient, its swirling smoke, distinctive in odor, was believed to ascend directly to heaven. It is known as one of the most rejuvenating elixirs for life, beautifying the living temple — within and without. Today, massaging Olibanum into the temples harmonizes the creative mind and deepens meditation, drawing together the human and divine imagination with a vascular effect both grounding and uplifting. Olibanum clears the awareness, reminding us of the genius truth about the self and the other: they are one and the same. Heady citrus front — resinous incense finish.
Place a drop of the oil into your palm and bring the hands together. Hold the hands over your freshly washed face and breathe.
Observe the diffusion of scent through heat of the skin. (Reading slowly is essential to translate hidden essences, the invisible reality of a plant.)
Ask your face where it would like to be touched. Kiss the face with your hands.
When do you experience heightened vitality, the greenness of your own nature? (Observe your connection to the universal qualities. Let yourself be guided.)
This edition of Hildegaard Olibanum haute botanical facial oil features the highest quality wildcrafted Boswellia Carterii resin from a private Frankincense grove in Somalia. Hildegaard’s Frankincense resin is collected by a third generation family of harvesters using a sustainable tapping technique, which protects the long-term health of the Boswellia Carterii. Resin is distilled into oil by a trusted distillery in Turkey to ensure full traceability of the supply chain. Harvesters preserve the high potency of the resin by respecting the ancient rule that resin may only be harvested if the trees receive rain at the beginning of the year. Following two years of harvest, plants are given one year to rest and regenerate to ensure the survival of the Boswellia Carterii species.
