Lia channels her passion for illumination into each Hildegaard creation with flawless artistry and vibrant, uncompromised materials. Since the visible world is a reflection of the world within, sustainable materials and practices lead to sustainable beauty issuing forth from deep within. Radiance is developed from the inside out, and she engages plants to beautify the body, elevate the consciousness of the mind, and effloresce the life of the soul. Plants want to show us how to lead a thriving life on earth; they possess the power and wisdom to help us find our way back home, to our own mythical center: our internal garden.

1% for the Planet

Hildegaard is a member of 1% for the Planet. 1% for the Planet empowers individuals and businesses to support the work of environmental organizations through annual membership and collaboration. Through 1% for the Planet, we donate at least 1% of our annual revenue to support the vital conservation work of United Plant Savers.

The deep connection between plants and humanity

Hildegaard plants are cultivated at Mama Farm without the use of pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, or environmentally harmful fertilizers. We use heirloom seeds which are cultivated using organic and regenerative agriculture techniques. Plants are harvested by hand as they reach their highest seasonal vitality to preserve the precious phytonutrients and essences within. Pure and whole plant sources, grown with passion and presence, we believe contain the wholeness of life itself.

United Plant Savers

We support the work of United Plant Savers and belong to their network of herbalists. We partner with United Plant Savers to ensure we continually refine our practice of regenerative agricultural techniques. The work of United Plant Savers involves research, education, and conservation of native plants and their habitats. The mission of United Plant Savers is to protect wild therapeutic plants and their native habitat while ensuring an abundant renewable supply of these precious plants for generations to come.

Packaging

Art must embody intention. We bridge aesthetic and environmental integrity in the presentation of our creations. We choose materials we believe have a positive energetic impact both environmentally and socially, and aim for a full-circle, sustainable life cycle for all aspects of our creations and their packaging. We use sustainable, recycled, and biodegradable materials whenever possible, and continually aim to make the best available choices.

While our limited edition packaging is exquisitely beautiful and undeniably collectible, it is also fabricated from sustainable materials should you choose to recycle. We use glass for our bottles and aluminum for our accessories. We use 100% recycled fiberboard and FSC certified paper in all of our boxes. Our shipping boxes are made from 100% post-consumer cardboard.
